Welcome To The Sydney Dragon Blades

Autumn Regatta Cancelled

An SDB training session is still scheduled for Sunday 4th May.

Autumn Regatta

You thought the season has finished after the State Championships, but boy are you wrong! If you're relatively new to the club, SDB is one of the few clubs who train right through the winter. Of course, whether you train is up to you, but the coaching staff do intend to provide the guidance right through the off-season in order to help you lift your game for next season. Until further notice from our head coach Rob, our training schedule will remain as they are.

Now why would we do that, you ask? Because there's another race coming up! DBNSW has decided to organise a fun race to round off the season, in order to make up for the lack of a Nationals event here in Sydney. Interstate teams have been invited so it could well be a large event in its own right! The aim of the event is for all involved to have fun and meet others in the dragonboating community, so the atmosphere of this event will be very different from previous regattas.

If you would like to come to this race (and also a hearty team wind-down meal afterwards), please let us know on the calendar!

And on the topic of hearty meals and team events, a number of relaxed, informal events have been slated to replace some training sessions as the weather gets cooler. Stay tuned for these new events!

Otherwise see you at training!
